Does the system help control more than just Mosquitoes? 

Yes, the Mist Away System helps you dramatically reduce pests in your yard.   The Pyrethrum aids in the control of over 200 different pests.

Is it safe?

The insecticides sold at Mosquito Mister are labeled for use in misting systems designed for control of mosquitoes.  All insecticides used in the misting system should be used as directed.   As with all products, you should read and follow the manufacturers instructions carefully.  Read more about mosquito control and pesticide safety.

Is the Insecticide ‘Natural’?

The Pyrethrum product is technically not natural, though it is an organic compound, it is still an insecticide and should be handled accordingly. 

Is the system hard to install?

Not at all.   The system is very easily installed by anyone who is comfortable performing their own simple home improvement tasks.   You may need to use a ladder, screwdriver, drill, and possibly a knife.   Each system is shipped with very specific ‘how-to’ directions.    If you are unsure about installing this yourself, you can also check with your local contractors and handymen.   Many service companies will install this product for a reasonable fee.  However, in most states, if someone other than the homeowner will be adding the Pyrethrum to the system, they must be licensed to do so. 

Can the Reservoir be located outside in the elements?

Yes.  A weather resistant cover is included with the drum system so the elements will not  interfere with the operation.  The tankless system does not have a cover but is fully encloseed.  If you are concerned about your specific situation, please contact us.

I live in an area where it drops below freezing during the winter.  How do you winterize the system?

The complete winterizing instructions are shipped with the product.   We recommend that you shutdown the system at the same time you would winterize your yard (bringing in garden hoses, etc.)    The actual winterizing is simple.

Does the system have a warranty?

Yes.  For more information you may review the manufacturer's warranty policy.

Will the system look exactly like the ones pictured?

Probably, but the manufacturer does retain the right to substitute a like or better product.     This means that if, for example, the manufacturer determines that a better remote control is developed, the new remote may not look exactly like the one pictured, but will work at least as well or better!

Is it secure to order online?

Yes.  We use a secure shopping cart and a secure online credit card processing company, so you can feel safe when ordering from Mosquito Mister over the internet. 

What if I do not want to order online?

How long will it take to receive my Mosquito Mist Away system?

Once we receive your order, we process it within 48 hours.  Depending on your location, the system should arrive in 4-10 business days.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is based on weight and distance.  Shipping costs for your order will be displayed at time of checkout, but before you complete your order and your credit card is charged.  We offer several shipping methods to our customers. 

                  

What if I want to return my system?

We have a 30 day return policy.  We will gladly arrange to have the system picked up at your location at your expense.  The system and its components must not have been installed and must be unused.  Items must be returned with original packing materials to prevent damage.  A restocking fee may apply.  Absolutely no returns after 30 days.

 

 

Troubleshooting

Some of my nozzles are not working. What do I do?

If all of your nozzles are not working, check your system to make sure there are not error codes. If only a few of your nozzles are not working, make sure there are not leaks in your lines that may keep the system from pressurizing correctly. If there are not leaks, you will need to check the individual nozzles. If you have Hago brand nozzles, you can unscrew the nozzle tip using two wrenches and try rinsing the filter. If the nozzle still does not work, you will need to replace the nozzle tip. If you have SlimLine nozzles, you can unscrew the top of the nozzle tip and replace the tiny filter located inside or you can replace the entire nozzle tip.

I like my system and know others that would like to purchase a system.  Do you offer a referral fee?

YES!   If  the person you refer purchases a complete system (system, nozzles, and concentrate starter pack) through MosquitoMister.com, we will send you a check for $50,  45 days after the shipment of the complete system.  The person must enter your information in the customer comments section of their order
