Gen 1.2 UPGRADE KIT to Gen 1.3 NO Agitator System-

The Gen 1.3 Conversion Kit (Part # MM90812 for No Agitation and Part # MM90818 for With Agitation) contains everything you need to fully convert a Gen 1.2 to a Gen 1.3 except for the pump/motor assembly, the drum, and the remote transmitter, all of which must be transferred from the existing system.

The conversion is simple. You simply remove the pump/motor assembly from the existing unit and bolt it onto the chassis provided in the kit. You then mount the chassis onto the new drum lid, which is included. Our standard finish kit - except for the remote transmitter - is also included in the conversion kit. The result of the conversion is a new Gen 1.3 with a used pump/motor.

The process will work as follows:

1. Order either Part# MM90812 (No Agitation) or Part# MM90818 (With Agitation).

2. Perform the conversion and remove the metal enclosure (with serial number) with attached HMI board for return to Mosquito MIster. Retain the bottom (IO) board as a spare.

3. Return the enclosure with HMI board to us in the box.

4. Upon receiving the enclosure and board, we will credit or refund your account $250.

5. We will warranty the components in the replacement kit for our standard one year.

Why the Switch?We sold Gen 1.2 controls from Q2 of 2006 through Q1 of 2007. Over time, we learned that in some situations, the HMI boards were sometimes susceptible to damage caused by static electricity. We worked out a reliable fix to the issue and began to ship out Gen 1.2 HMI Replacement Kits in Summer 2008. The kit consisted of a replacement Gen 1.2 HMI board with a fine metal mesh assembled over the board affixed to the metal housing. We provided these kits on a warranty basis through 2008.

The last time any Gen 1.2 boards were actually manufactured was in Q4 of 2006 and we have been drawing from that inventory to construct the kits since Q2 of 2008. We have now exhausted the available supply of Gen 1.2 boards and replacement kits. It doesn't make engineering or economic sense to produce a new low volume batch of Gen 1.2 boards and then add the expensive fix that protects them from static vulnerability. However, we do want to minimize problems associated with supporting Gen 1.2 systems that fail due to the issue. To accomplish that, we are introducing the subsidized Gen 1.3 conversion kits.
