The Mosquito Mist Away System^™ , the system sold by Mosquito Mister^™, decreases the bug population by intermittently misting the area you define with a misting concentrate.  The misting system uses one of the following:

• a low-toxicity level solution of Pyrethrum (Chrysanthemum  cinerariaefolium), which is an insecticide made from crushed flowers

• a low-toxicity level solution made from essential oils 

Pyrethrum not only helps control mosquitoes, but is effective on over 200 bugs including biting flies, chiggers, crickets, fire ants, fleas, gnats, horse flies, ticks, wasps, yellow jackets, and many other outdoor pests.   Essential oils work much the same way as pyrethrum.

Misting nozzles are installed and the lines run from a reservoir containing the misting concentrate.  A timer mechanism is located on the lid of the reservoir and can be set to mist based on anticipated need.   Our Gen I & Gen II systems contain a remote control as standard equipment.  Systems which include a remote control may be activated to mist between scheduled times if necessary.  Systems which include any of the optional weather sensors ensure the system does not unnecessarily mist during inclement weather. The misting lines and nozzles are easily installed around the perimeter of your home and/or other structures and can be installed with a zone design to allow specific zones to be turned on and off while other zones remain active.  Nozzles can be placed along fence lines, trees, flowerbeds and decking.

One of the great advantages of the Mosquito Mist Away System is that it does not attract bugs to your yard like other products, but simply repels/kills the bugs that are already there.  Additionally, because of the unique reservoir system, once you set up the system you only need to think about it when it is time to refill, which may be only once a year depending on how often you choose to have the misting system activated and the number of nozzles you install.
